The beach

HI world!
We are busy busy with our NGOs and such...today is our first day actually working with the kids on art. Raina's didn't go as planned at all so far...she hopes her second NGO is better.

We are going to the beach this weekend, so we may not update for a few days. We are taking a bus to the coast and then taking a boat off to an island called Rabbit Island!!
We will be there one night.

Alright, off to NGOs,
Love you guys,
Raina and Jordan

PS Raina has two big bruises on her left arm from the fall. They are swollen. Feel sorry for them. : (

  2. I guess I am confused.. you go from one NGO to another? You have to move art supplies daily then?

I am glad to hear that the kids are in familial living conditions. Think we could learn something? I think you guys have the making of a really good paper or small book based on your blog.. especially if you get photos (would you expect GMa to say anything else?). Do you take photos of the art projects... again would you expect the person with thousands of photos to ask any other question?

Love and stay safe in that shower,
    GMa

  3. Ahh Raina--I feel very sorry for your bruises! I hope they do not hurt too much. Jordan, how are your knees?
I would love to hear more about what you are doing with the kids. Have fun at Rabbit island. (Parka is very jealous.) She stares at me funny when I use my electric toothbrush.

  4. Oh Raina! Poor Baby Girl. Feel me kissing you. I was wondering yesterday how you were faring. BAD shower!! Is there a plastic chair or stool that you could sit on while in the shower? If not, the idea of sitting on a towel might be best in the future.
I'm on my way to do art with the boys (in the autistic class) at the high school today, we're gonna collage some wine bottles with magazine pictures a la mode de Raina!! I'm pre-cutting a bunch of pictures for those who can't cut. I can't wait to see them again. Which reminds me, I hope that first art project goes better for Raina in the next days...
Have fun on Rabbit Island, Take pictures of all the rabbits.
    Enjoy hour adventures,
    Lots of love and kisses--
    Mommy

  6. so clearly i've been keeping on top of this EVERY SINGLE DAY.
but anyways, I'm all caught up now! yay me!

and to rainas bruises: "i'm sorry! i'm sorry! i'm sorry!"
i really hope that you can find some way to take a shower without falling. CLEARLY that shower is out to get you and all I have to say to it is...RUDE!!!!

Everything you girls are doing seems so inspirational and amazing. I don't even know how you handled the high school that turned into a prison/torture place. I would have lost it completely. The way you described it...I can't even believe that sort of stuff could still be going on...even if it was 30 years ago.

The homes with the hiv infected kids sounds amazing. I love the fact that people are so caring and that they are actually doing something about the problem. They are amazing. =)

Rainas, I hope your NGO goes better next time!

Also, have fun on rabbit island girls!!! Make sure to do some binkies!!!

I misses you and I love you!
I will keep you in my prayers and can't wait to hear from you again!!!!
